I have a diverse range of interests including; peak oil, spatialising ecosystem services, food security and climate change. My current project is incorporated with CSIRO’s Climate Adaptation Flagship, and involves comparing the output of different elevation data sets and models of how coastal ecosystems will respond to sea level rise. I will also be evaluating the cost-effectiveness of each approach, in terms of how they translate to conservation outcomes. This will enable and understanding of the tradeoffs involved in balancing research and analysis with on-ground conservation actions.
