I am conservation ecologist interested in understanding how to adequately incorporate the principles of landscape ecology and ecosystem functioning into the science and practice of conservation decision-making. I worked as a research intern within the Wilson Lab for 6 months, on two conservation planning projects: the Southeast Queensland Climate Adaptation Research Initiative project, and the Gondwana Link project, with a focus on the Great Western Woodlands. In the fall 2010, I will be starting PhD programme at the Simon Fraser University, Canada where I will be focusing on exploring the potential of natural variability to act as a spatially and temporally explicit biodiversity proxy for reserve design and matrix management.
