I’m conducting an undergraduate research project with Kerrie Wilson as part of the final semester of my BSc degree, in preparation for an Honours program next year. My current research project consists of developing a PVA (Population Viability Analysis) for the Sumatran Tiger (Panthera tigris sumatrae), in order to:
(a) estimate the extinction probability of the species under current conditions, and
(b) identify critical habitat.
This project is in collaboration with Matthew Linkie, who is currently determining the impact of road construction on forest cover and on tiger populations in Aceh, Indonesia.
