Our project aimed to identify and evaluate the processes that threaten Indonesian endangered plants. Indonesia is facing biodiversity loss very rapidly due to the high rates of habitat modification, deforestation, over-exploitation, forest fire, monoculture cultivation, and illegal harvesting and trade. We identified and quantifed the key threatening processes to Indonesian endangered plants, and analysed the interactions among threats (threat syndromes). The results of our research will serve as a benchmark to revisit the conservation status of the Indonesian endangered plants through time. This can also be used as a reference for conservation planning and decision making in Indonesia.
