Oscar Venter

Oscar_Venter_jun09Oscar is interested in conservation decision making, trading-off multiple conservation objectives, the conservation potential of ecosystem services, threats to endangered species and conservation effectiveness. He was working at the local and global scales to determine how initiatives to reduce carbon emissions from deforestation can be used to protect forest biodiversity.

After completion of PhD studies, Oscar became a Postdoctoral Fellow at Centre for Tropical Environmental and Sustainability Science, James Cook University.

PhD Candidate, University of Queensland, 2007-2011
