Ben Newman completed Masters of Conservation Science. He is interested in the intersection of development and conservation and the problems that arise in this area. In his research project he quantified ecosystem services within the Yawuru Indigenous Protected Area (WA) under the supervision of Gwen Iacona and Kerrie Wilson. Ben completed a dual degree in Engineering (Mechanical) and Science (Ecology) at UQ in 2013. He enjoys scuba diving, cricket and squash.
