Natalie is an ecologist. Her research interests lie in the use of conservation planning as a tool for conserving biodiversity. She undertook postgraduate research with Dr. Kerrie Wilson at the University of Queensland. Natalie was researching the impacts of urban development on an endangered blackbutt forest community in Southeast Queensland, by quantifying a range of specific threats. Results of this project aimed at informing conservation policy at the local and state government level.
